The Idea Frenzy Is Coming...Beware
So let me introduce to you "The Idea Frenzy". From time to time, I will have an idea frenzy. What does this mean? Well, I will be updating my blog a lot with cool money making ideas for you to try. During the idea frenzy, I won't be going into great detail about each method, but rather try to put out as many money making ideas out there as possible. My goal is to get your "Idea" motor going.
What Is The Best Way To Monetize My Site?
So, you started a website or blog, and now you want to make money with it. Since you have no idea which method of monetization is the best, you go to the trusted google search engine and look for "Experts". You are trying to find something that isn't there, so how are you going to find it? You won't, you will end up listening to some noob, who calls himself an expert.
Where You Made Your First Mistake...
Right from the beginning you made a mistake, you made a blog with out any plans for it. You can't simply start a blog without having any sort of plan for it, and expect to make money with it somehow down the road. Every good internet marketer knows from the start, how he will make money with each particular site.
You Will End Up Using The Wrong Monetization...
Every niche is different. Since you did not have a plan from the start, chances are you won't be able to pick the right type of monetization. The reason I say this is simple: you did not do any research in your niche, so you won't know what works and what doesn't. Sure, you might get lucky, but do you really want to run a business model on luck alone?
Should I Use Adsense Or Affiliates To Make Money?
I might have to make a few blog posts just dedicated to this topic, but let me try to summarize it in a few sentences. You should use adsense only if you get around 80% of your total traffic from google. Not just any traffic, targeted traffic. Usually you should use adsense only if your blog is devoted to only covering one main topic.
Use affilates, when the niche you are working does not have to high of a CPC. Even if you want to work affilates, you will still need to get targeted visitors form google who want to buy the product which you are promoting.

When you start an article directory you will have no authority at all. It will take you a very long time to build solid authority. The reason you see (ezinearticles) articles ranking high in the serps is because of the domain authority, and not because of the content. Currently ezinearticles has a Page Rank 6, how long will it take you to get a PR6?
The content is not going to be unique...
When you start an article directory most articles being submitting are usually also submitted in varies other directories. The directory with the most authority will achieve the highest ranking, which is not your.
Do you have a lots of money to invest?
This is a way around the unique content issue. Since you can't afford to have duplicate content on your site until you gain solid authority, you will need fresh content. Really, the only way to do this is to hire some writers. Hire some writers to write about 200-300 articles for you. This will give your site unique content. In the meantime work on your authority. So, do you have enough money for 200-300 articles?

This is a very common mistake I see noobs do all the time. They just start an article directory and a couple of days later throw adsense on it. When you do something like that you will surely get smart priced. To make money with google adsense you need visitors from Google who type the right keyword to find your article. Without auhtortiy you won't get much SE traffic, and without SE traffic you won't make any money witg Google Adsense.
